In this hour, two mediators from the great State of Tennessee will share their thoughts and perspectives on getting advocates past impasse and to resolution through mediation

Chad Hatmaker is a member of Woolf, McClane, Bright, Allen & Carpenter, PLLC in Knoxville,

Tennessee. His primary areas of practice are employment law and commercial litigation. He

represents his clients in proceedings before various administrative agencies and state and federal

trial and appellate courts. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell in the areas of Labor,

Employment and Torts. He is also listed in the Best Lawyers in America in Employment Law –

Management; Litigation – Labor and Employment; and Commercial Litigation. He has a very

active mediation and arbitration practice which focuses on employment and commercial

disputes.

Marc Harwell is a Rule 31 Tennessee Supreme Court listed mediator, a Registered Neutral by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, a Tennessee Supreme Court appointed ADR Commissioner, an American Arbitration Association (AAA) National Roster Arbitrator, a Fellow of the Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar Foundations, a Past President of the Chattanooga Bar Association, and a recipient of the Chattanooga Bar Association’s Community Service Award for his work in 2020 – 21 feeding 1,870 victims of domestic violence with professionally prepared meals.

 

Marc has served as the trusted Neutral for the mediation of complex civil litigation cases throughout Tennessee and in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, and Texas. Marc has tried over 100 cases before a jury and many more bench trials. His advocacy practice involves catastrophic personal injury, commercial motor carrier, construction, employment, insurance coverage, premises, products, and professional liability issues. He is a Senior Director and Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and was a guest speaker on September 22, 2022 at the Tennessee Trial Lawyers’ Association (TTLA) Annual Meeting. He is most proud of the trust that members of the Plaintiffs’ and the Defense Bar have shown by hiring him to be their Neutral.
